Cinema Society of PebbleCreek

Traci Baker, director of Community Activities and Communications

The exciting world of film returns to PebbleCreek on Nov. 14 at the Renaissance Theater. Once again, Cinema Society Director Andy Friedenberg will bring carefully selected films to delight our hearts and provoke our minds.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 9 at 9:00 a.m., all previous season renewing pass holders may begin the renewal process. Previous season subscribers must bring their hard card pass and lanyard with them when they pay for the season. We only accept cash or checks made out to “PCHOA.” No need to rush, as renewing seats are guaranteed through Sept. 27.

Sales for new* memberships will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 9:00 a.m.

A typical Cinema Society program includes a cinema chat, formal introduction, screening of a feature film premiere, classic, documentary and/or short subject, followed by a discussion. The morning events can include a guest speaker; a critic or occasionally an actor, director or studio representative involved with the film’s production. Speakers share their expertise with you, providing a forum to discuss various aspects of the movie.

Your membership includes private monthly screenings, transferable membership admission card with a PebbleCreek lanyard (feel free to pass it on to others if you’re unable to attend an event), socializing with fellow film lovers, informative discussions, monthly newsletter that previews upcoming films and any activities and hosted national and international film festival trips (for an additional fee). All films screen at 10:00 a.m. sharp in the Renaissance Theater, unless noted otherwise.

Mark your calendar with the following reserved dates to be sure you don’t miss any of these excellent programs: Nov. 14, Dec. 12, Jan. 16, Feb. 6, Mar. 12 and Apr. 2.

Only season ticket holders may attend Cinema Society viewings. Guest passes for out-of-town, non-PebbleCreek residents may be purchased for $25 prior to any showings.

Please note there is a $5 replacement fee for any lost cards.

Seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis.
