A popular holiday tradition is returning to Goodyear, Arizona for its second season. Christmas in Color opened Friday, November 23, 2018, and will run through Monday, December 31, 2018. The mile-long drive-through light and music display at Goodyear Ballpark will feature one million LED lights synchronized to favorite holiday tunes.
Visitors enjoy the vibrant displays from the comfort of their cars as they travel through glowing tunnels and pass fields of twinkling lights and singing snowmen. Guests tune their radios to a local channel upon entering the exhibit to watch the lights dance in coordination to the music. This year, each person will also receive a pair of 3D glasses to enhance the experience! New musical soundtracks and lighting features will also be added to the show.
“Christmas in Color has become a holiday tradition for thousands of people across Arizona,” said Todd Glover, CEO of Christmas in Color. “We are excited to bring this beloved experience back for another season and give even more families a way to make extraordinary memories they’ll cherish year-round.”
Christmas in Color also has two locations in Utah and will launch its newest location in Denver, Colorado this year.
Tickets are available online. Prices are per vehicle: Monday-Thursday: purchased in advance online: $25 and Friday-Saturday and December 19-24: purchased in advance online: $30. (Prices are per vehicle, not per person.)
Christmas in Color is owned and operated by Ice Castles, LLC and Holdman Lighting. In 2006, co-founder, Richard Holdman, created an animated Christmas display on his house and backed up traffic for two miles as thousands drove by to watch. A YouTube video of the home display garnered well over 20 million views in a couple of months. Christmas in Color continues this tradition of bringing joy and happiness to families during the Christmas season.
