On Saturday evening, May 11, a tremendous singing performance was held in our PebbleCreek’s Renaissance Theater, featuring gifted greater Phoenix area singer, Charlie Coleman. The event was sponsored by the Christian Men’s Fellowship of PebbleCreek. It was a wonderful celebration of Christian songs, interspersed with secular numbers and also many patriotic songs as a tribute to the veterans of our Armed Forces. It was a sell-out concert with the audience showing their appreciation and enthusiasm with many standing ovations for the choice of songs Charlie selected and for his superb singing talent. He was accompanied by the music team from Skyway Church; drums, guitar and keyboard are played by all accomplished musicians. His lovely daughter, Christina, accompanied him in many of the songs throughout the entire performance, making for a most enjoyable evening.
The entire program was a vision of Don Sass, a member of the Men’s Christian Fellowship. His leadership and desire to see the event succeed spread to members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship who enthusiastically helped promote the concert. The following are some of the accolades from a few who attended the concert. Mary from PC said, “I really needed this tonight.” Carl from Sun City said, “I thought the concert might be churchy, but instead it was absolutely fabulous.” MJ from PC said, “Charlie has to do more shows…Awesome!” Melissa from PC said, “This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.”
The Christian Men’s Fellowship of PebbleCreek is made up of men who reside in PebbleCreek who meet the first Wednesday of most months in the Chianti Room located in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse to hear guest speakers from both inside and outside of our community. Men of all faiths are encouraged to attend. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 2, at 7:30 a.m.
