Chai High’s second lecture

Brenda Hyman

News update—November 3, 2015, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. – Tuscany Clubhouse Capri Room—PC High Holidays Club continues with our new program affectionately called Chai High. The residents of PebbleCreek will be treated to another monthly higher learning session about Jewish history, language, Hebrew reading, Holocaust lectures, movies and other interesting topics.

Our second lecture on November 3 will have Ann Polunsky as our speaker; her topic is the Pioneer Jews of Arizona. Ann will discuss why Jews were successful as pioneers and highlight the key contributors to our rich history. She was the co-founder and longtime President of the Soviet Jewry movement in Phoenix, Past President of the Arizona Jewish Historical Society and Past President of Beth El Congregation in Phoenix. Ann is currently a grant writer for ValleyLife.

So—come and join our club for this next lecture (at no charge). You will learn about our Jewish history. There will be many surprising revelations as well as insights. The floor will be open for questions after the lecture. Please email Brenda Hyman at [email protected] for sign-up. Each email will be time stamped and once capacity is reached (40 guests); you will be wait-listed.

Mark your calendars for the additional dates in the coming months:

Tuesday: December 1, January 5, 2016, February 2, March 1 (Capri Room/Tuscany Clubhouse at 7:00 p.m.)

We guarantee an exciting and educational program each and every time. Looking forward to seeing you in November and at all the other lectures. Topic subjects will appear in the PebbleCreek Post as well as on flyer posted on our bulletin boards (monthly).

Shalom!
