The Featured Artist of the month for November/December 2025 is Sandy Clinton. Sandy and her husband Richard Knowles moved to PebbleCreek 10 years ago from Albuquerque, N.M. After viewing several communities they chose PebbleCreek, partly because of the fact that it had so much to offer! The Creative Arts Center was part of that appeal.
Sandy’s parents would visit often and rented a home here. Her mother was a very creative woman. Sandy’s first exposure to ceramics was taking her mother there to have a creative outlet. Instead of being a spectator she began painting in the studio, too, and shared much joyful time there with her mom.
For Sandy the Ceramics Club is a great space for creativity with wonderful people, amazing gifted instructors, and an entertaining environment. She loves how helpful everyone is there and how much she has learned while being a member. She loves trying new and different ideas and techniques.
Her most challenging ceramics projects are also her favorite. It’s called Zentangle This is a black and white doodle art that requires a steady hand. Her favorite piece to date is a big pasta bowl with Zentangle on the inside and a desert scene on the outside of the bowl. One of her cousins liked it so much she had to create a second one!
When asked what receiving this award meant to her, Sandy replied she is very honored to have been chosen. This is a hobby for her and there are so many amazing artists in the club.
When asked what she likes most about the Ceramics Club she replied painting and creating art you can use and enjoy!
Congratulations, Sandy!
