Celebrating “The Year of the Woman” with lunch and fashions, is TTT’s Arizona Chapter Q. The weeks of planning and preparation for this event began the day after last year’s event ended. This group of women has worked diligently to present an event that will provide an exceptional occasion for the women who will be attending. Through the sharing of our time, talents and treasures, the true meaning behind the three T’s in our name, the shape of the luncheon, array of baskets and auction items and fashions used are determined.
On March 9, 2019 we held our seventh annual Fashion Show and Luncheon for a fabulous group of women. The raffle baskets and silent auction items were exhibited in the Chianti Room for viewing and bidding. Raffle tickets were purchased to take a chance on the baskets. The items to be auctioned were arrayed in the same area. As the room filled with our guests, the displays seemed to burst into blooms of color.
The reception table was situated in the foyer across from the cash bar to assist with questions concerning seating and last-minute requests for table assignments. We witnessed the women, as they gathered near the ballroom door, enjoying their visiting while waiting for the doors to open. Their energy and excitement rang from the walls. Moving into the ballroom, tables were quickly found and seats taken as the excitement continued to grow.
This year’s fashions extended from sports items and casual dress to elegant evening wear. Our models who volunteer each year to work with us did an exceptional job moving about the room so that their outfits could be viewed up close and personal. Kudos to them with much appreciation for all their work.
Our successful fashion shows supported by our PebbleCreek community and guests from surrounding areas are also cherished. Attendance at our event has allowed us to fund summer camping for deserving fourth grade girls from our cooperating school, Heritage Elementary School. Each year the whole school staff participates in our selection process by completing paperwork that helps us determine the group of girls. Over the past four years, we have been able to fund eight students for summer camp. This includes their camping equipment, camp fees and a full week’s worth of clothing for each girl.
In a fall edition of the PebbleCreek Post there will be an article announcing the date for the 2020 Fashion Show and Luncheon, so be looking for a Save the Date that will give the new theme as well as the date on a Saturday in March. Dillard’s of Arrowhead will once again be the sponsoring store with their new 2020 spring fashions.
Let the planning begin.
