Cribbage Club
Gary Lind
The Cribbage Club meets three times monthly, the first, second and fourth Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sienna Room, Tuscany Falls; please note these are different days from last year. The club is open to all PebbleCreek residents interested in playing a friendly game of Cribbage. If you don’t know how to play, but are interested in learning, come join us for an afternoon of fun; we will teach you how. If you have a Cribbage board and deck of cards, please bring them with you.
We have winners to report:

Euchre
Mary Ann O’Brien
Thursday evenings at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse in PebbleCreek is the place to be in the hot summer. Lots of cool people can be seen trying their luck—or skill, to be the big winners. The regulars can all be found in the Palm Room at 6:30 p.m. practicing before the 7:00 p.m. announcement of “Deal ‘em up!” is made by Bill Halte.
Missing this past month has been Jerry Fox who opted to babysit the grandkids. Believe me, he will be more than ready to play cards upon his return.
On June 15, Bill Halte and Linda Vise tied for first with a score of 54 followed by George Clark at 53. Joann Kolesar had four Lone Hands and Gil Butson won his dollar back scoring Low with 37!
June 22 was a very good night for yours truly—scoring 68 points and winning first place. Bill Forshaw and Muriel Milewski came in second with 55. Three tied for Lone Hands—Bill Halte, Linda Vise and Joann Kolesar.
Once again—our Low man was none other than Gil Butson with 38, one point higher than the week before!
On June 29, Barb Clark took home first place winnings with 64 points—Jim Hundt followed with 58 and Bill Halte with 57. Bob Ferro and Ron Glynn tied for Lone Hands and Gil was spared when Tom Reynolds beat him out for Low with 35 points. Alex Potapoff brought his sister Lauren and we all enjoyed her company.
All of a sudden it was July—and 115 degrees—when the group gathered on July 6 to once again play Euchre. This time Rosemary Rulka was the lucky winner scoring 63 points. Jim Hundt had 59 and Bill Todd 56.
Muriel Milewski, Bob Ferro and Ron Glynn tied with three Lone Hands and had to split their winnings. Drumroll please—George Clark won Low with 36.
By the way—happy birthday to big George!
If you like to play Euchre and think you’d like to join this group of characters to have a fun, relaxing evening of socializing, come on over to Eagle’s Nest any Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Sign in, pay a dollar and you’re in!
Can’t promise you’ll win, but can guarantee you’ll meet some great people and have a good time.
Hope to see you there.
