‘32 Ford Roush Roadster owned by PebbleCreek resident Gary Bruebaker

If you happen to see a ‘32 Ford Roush Roadster on the streets of PebbleCreek, give owner Gary Bruebaker a wave. Gary was fortunate to be able to buy this beauty at the recent Barrett-Jackson auction. It is a one-of-one prototype that was commissioned by Ford Motor Company for Roush Performance. The original intention was to build this car and then try to get fellow Ford executives to approve building 100 to 150 of these to sell new at Ford dealerships. The program was never approved and, therefore, this car is a one-of-a-kind. Gary says it drives like a new car, complete with power windows, heated seats, heater, and air conditioning.

Our PebbleCreek Car Club has a newly formed activities committee. We have plans coming up in March and April to attend the Mecham Auction, have a much enjoyed annual luncheon in Wickenburg, and participate in Luke Days. The weather is turning beautiful, and it is time to get those tires rotating.

Anyone who has an interest in cars is welcome to join us. Our club meets the first Monday of the month in the Capri Room in the Tuscany meeting rooms at 7 p.m. For more information, you can call Charlie Miller, president, at 623-734-6011.
