The PebbleCreek Democratic Club held its General Monthly Meeting on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom and was preceded by a social hour with cash bar starting at 6:00 p.m. Guest speakers for the evening were Gubernatorial candidate Steve Farley, Superintendent for Instruction candidate David Shapira, Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Robert Gordon, incumbent candidate for the Arizona House of Representative, LD-4, Gerae Peten, AZ Corporation Commission candidate Bill Mundell, and John Bower who spoke to the audience about “Dirty Money.”
Each of these candidates spoke passionately and at length about their platform of issues and how their education and experience qualify them to represent the citizens of Arizona in their respective desired offices. Members found the presentations both interesting and informative. A short business meeting followed the speaker program.
In April, in lieu of a regular General Meeting, the club will hold its annual Spring Potluck Picnic on Sunday, April 22, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. The theme this year is a “Hawaiian Luau.”
The club will be in summer recess until fall when we will reconvene on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. A social hour with cash bar will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the hallway immediately adjacent to the ballroom.
