Valentine’s Day fun
Ronnie Levine
Camping4Girls (dba T.T.T.) had a fun happy hour in February along with women interested in possibly joining our chapter. We also went to our chosen school of Heritage Elementary to meet with our girls for a little Valentine’s Day get-together.
This month we will meet the newly selected 4th grade girls who will camp this summer. In April we will have our annual pizza party at the school to meet with the girls, their families, and the teachers. In May we will take them shopping to Walmart, where we have lunch and choose all the clothing they’ll need for their camping experience. It’s a fun day for us and them! Then in June they will head to Girl School camp for a week.
We will be having a fundraiser at three restaurants in April. The dates are as follows: Canes Chicken at 1220 N. Dysart, April 8 from 3 to 9 p.m., apply code at checkout RCFUND96; Panera Bread on PC Pkwy, April 17 from 4 to 8 p.m., code at checkout is FUND4U; Portillo’s at 10331 W. McDowell on April 23, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., online orders code is PORTILLOS61.
Members meet monthly throughout the year in the PC Clubhouse. We also meet with the chosen girls throughout the year, and we keep in touch with the girls who attended camp in the past while they are still at Heritage Elementary.
