“Desert Sentinel,” Lynn Warren’s photo of an impressive sentinel of the desert on a moody morning in White Tank Mountain Regional Park … image taken with Canon SX270 HS, F4, 1/400 sec, ISO 80.
The November photo of the month features an impressive saguaro in the White Tanks taken by club member Lynn Warren while on an early morning hike. It was a somewhat moody morning, partly overcast but with some dramatic early morning sun highlighting for a few minutes. The highlighted saguaro contrasts nicely with the dark, threatening clouds in the background. This saguaro seemed to be in good health but many have succumbed to the stress of our extreme summers over the past few years.
