“Help Me” by Sandi Leishman … an emotional street photography picture of a young girl with a baby begging for money in Nepal; photo was taken with a Nikon D3400 with a DX70-300 lens.

The photo of the month for January is a great example of street photography by club member Sandi Leishman on a visit to Katmandu, Nepal. The image shows a little girl sitting on the side of the road begging for money. Hopefully someday it will change but, in Nepal, it is common to see a small girl holding a baby and begging; apparently this was her “job,” somewhat like panhandlers frequently seen on our streets.
