Camera Club meetings will continue to be conducted via Zoom for the next few months. The October meeting featured an interesting presentation on color management by club member Larry Matney. The November meeting will feature a presentation on abstract photography by Lisa Langell, an award-winning photographer whose work has appeared in numerous prestigious publications, galleries, and more and will be November 16 at 6:30 p.m. Abstract photography is all about taking everyday objects and transforming them into something creative and mostly unrecognizable relative to their original form. Through instruction, videos, audience-interaction, and inspiration from Lisa and fellow participants, meeting attendees will have the opportunity to learn:
* How to apply basic compositional guidelines while using creativity and vision to create abstract images.
* How to use intentional camera motion (ICM) and motion blur.
* Patterning and its application to abstract photography.
* How contrast, shadows, color theory, textures, edges, and more can help create images that are artistic, ethereal, and fun.
* How to present abstract images for impactful and stunning wall art and more!
Lisa’s webinar is free for the Camera Club meeting, but to participate you must pre-register with Lisa. After the meeting, all registered attendees will receive a link to her presentation for future reference. Email Adriana Greisman at [email protected] for registration information.
