The PC Italian American Club has had a busy fall. We’ve had a couple of brief to the point business meetings followed by terrific Andiamo (meaning Let’s Go) get-togethers at the homes of club members.
Club members shared their Italian heritage at a wonderful October potluck picnic on Sunday, October 26, 2014. October is the national Italian Heritage month. We all learned a little more about the great positive contributions made by a number of great Italian men and women in Italy and the United States. We shared some awesome home cooked Italian dishes and desserts. The winners of the card game are enjoying their Italian favorites (pasta, cookies, etc.), prizes.
November saw club members enjoy another Dining Out event. Jackie and Bob Voccola hosted this month at the renovated Eagle’s Nest Dining Room. Everyone enjoyed their lunches from a special PC Italian American Club menu. November was also a Bingo night event hosted by Charlie and Alice Miller at the nearby Community Bingo at 3690 S. Estrella Parkway.
This December brings another fantastic Poinsettia Ball to realization. About 280 plus club members, PebbleCreekers and their guests will kick off the 2014 holiday season with dinner and dancing in the Tuscany Falls ballroom on December 6. The PebbleRock band has taken requests, including Italian favorites, and has been rehearsing for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The Italian Sweets table is new this year. Everyone will enjoy their favorite Italian sweets made by club members. December 13 is the day 120 plus Italian Club, Irish Club and other PebbleCreekers will travel to the Phoenix First Assembly Church to experience their Christmas Pageant. This is a return visit for many. The Phoenix First Assembly Church has been offering this Christmas gift for over 30 years.
The club says Grazie to all of our club members who have hosted all of our club events this fall. From our club, Buon Natale to our club members, their families and friends and all PebbleCreekers.
