Janet Keys, Fitness Attendant
Through the years, I’ve discovered the most successful way to stick to a fitness routine is to work out with some gym buddies. By coming to Wellbeats, you will meet up with others looking to get in a good workout. This is exactly how I met my two gym buddies. If you already have a friend who keeps you accountable to show up at the gym, invite them to a Wellbeats workout at the studios. For my gym buddies and I, we keep it simple. We text each other a time to meet during the week when there are no scheduled classes in Studio 1 at the TF Fitness Studios, and encourage each other to be there. Wellbeats is free and available on a first come, first serve basis. This means that whoever shows up when the room is available is able to select the workout of their choice. If several people arrive, all inputs are considered, and a final workout selection is made. If a session is in progress, participants are welcome to join in. Since Wellbeats has several 20-minute workout options, a group can always find two workouts to meet the majority of interests during a 45-minute session. Also, most Wellbeats workouts have two or three instructors on the jumbo screen showing modifications, so no matter what option is chosen, all skill levels can participate.
If you’ve never tried WellBeats, I want to help! I’ll be on staff at the studios every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to give you a hands-on demonstration of how to select and operate the WellBeats terminal. I’ll work out beside you to show you how simple it is. Also, if you’ve never used the spin bikes, I can introduce you to those as well, and show you our studio’s library of spin videos and how to project them on the big screen.
If you have any questions, you can call the studios at 623-935-6752, and a fitness attendant will be glad to help. The fitness class schedule, showing when the WellBeats room is available for use, is posted on the HOA website or available for pickup at the fitness centers and studios. Don’t forget to wear your mask and bring your mat and a towel!
