Judy Ayers
The Breast Cancer Discussion Group will be meeting on Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month. We encourage you to come if you are facing surgery, recovering from surgery, thinking about reconstruction, or just need to talk with others who are newly diagnosed. Also in our discussion is information of the various treatment centers that are available to us living in Goodyear. Everything at our meeting is, of course, confidential. We certainly welcome longtime survivors as you are such an inspiration to those who are newly diagnosed, and you add very much to our discussions. If you have a neighbor facing breast cancer, please let them know about our meetings and have them contact me, so they can be a part of our valuable discussions.
Summer Get-togethers
During the summer months, June, July, and August, we do not have meetings as Dr. Rich Shildt, retired oncologist, is in Colorado for the summer. But we do get together for breakfast or lunch on the fourth Thursday of the month. It’s a fun time to connect with each other over the summer months! Stay tuned for time and place during the summer.
For those of you who have surgery pending, we have a gift for you—a special pillow that is provided by the PebbleCreek Quilters. It helps to bring immediate comfort following surgery or reconstruction. Please call if you want the location of our meeting, would like a pillow, or just need information or wish to chat. We are here for you!
Please join us for lunch afterwards on Thursday, May 25. We have great fun together! Hope to see you there!
