Breast Cancer Group Celebrates National Cancer Awareness Day

Judy Ayers

The PebbleCreek Breast Cancer Discussion Group was invited to the Cancer Treatment Center of America’s (CTCA) celebration of Cancer Awareness Day on June 6. The CTCA held a lovely Chillin ’N Grillin Barbecue for our group along with about 50 other cancer survivors in the West Valley. A great time was had by all!

Our group will be getting together for breakfast on the fourth Thursday of July and August. This month our breakfast will be held on Thursday, July 28, at 9 a.m., in the Eagle’s Nest restaurant. It should be a lot of fun, and it will keep us connected over the hot summer months. If you can attend, please RSVP to Betty Evans at 602-819-8016 or [email protected] by Monday, July 25, so she can make breakfast reservations. We welcome those of you who have been recently diagnosed along with those who are longtime survivors.

Important note: A special gift may be waiting for you whether you attend the breakfast or not. If you have surgery pending, we would like to give you a special pillow, made by the PebbleCreek Quilters, that is guaranteed to bring you comfort while going through treatment. We are happy to deliver it to you! To request a pillow, call Betty at 602-819-8016.

Hope you can join us for breakfast on July 28 at 9 a.m.
