Our next Breast Cancer Discussion Group meeting will be held on Thursday, January 24, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Capri Room at the Tuscany Clubhouse. Following the meeting, many of us go to lunch at Toscana’s. We would love to have you join us!
Dr. Rich Shildt, Oncologist, will be present to answer any questions you may have. Plus, we are really fortunate this month to also have his wife, Kitty Shildt, who is a Registered Dietician. How lucky we are to have them to guide us through our journeys! We do ask that you arrive promptly so that you can benefit fully from their expertise.
The purpose of our group is to provide support to residents through the sharing of common experiences and knowledge and to let you know you are not alone. If you are facing possible surgery, recovering from surgery, thinking about reconstruction or just need someone to talk to, please consider joining us. If you are a long-term survivor, we’d like to have you join us at our meetings too. Your experience and knowledge can help newly diagnosed members get through their treatment. You may also learn a few things along the way that you might find helpful.
A gift for you: If you have just been diagnosed and have surgery pending, please be sure to contact Rayma prior to your surgery.
We have a wonderful heart pillow for you that will provide comfort following your surgery. You do not have to become a member of the group to receive one and everything is confidential. A special thanks to the PebbleCreek Quilters who provide these to us free of charge.
