Mark your calendar now and plan to attend on Wednesday, Feb. 12, the “Bread for Bucks” fitness challenge and fundraiser. This fun, wellness event will take place from 8 a.m.-noon at the TF Fitness Studios. Sponsored by Oroweat Bread, our community will be one of many 55+ communities in the local area participating in this event. At the conclusion of the event, Oroweat will make a donation to the Phoenix Division of the American Heart Association based upon the participation of our community residents. The greater our participation, the more Oroweat will donate (up to a predetermined amount).
Oroweat will be in the area to promote a balanced life, during the month of February, which is Heart Month. At our Fitness Studios, they will set up fitness stations, and residents will have one minute at each station to get as many reps done as possible. The Oroweat donation is based on how many successful reps we can do. Residents will rotate between various low-impact exercise circuits—step ups, arm curls, bent over rows, etc.—with personal trainers there to guide you. Some of our fitness instructors will be there to encourage you on as well.
Oroweat will be on site with product samples, snacks, and swag bags for participants. There will also be raffles for personal training and other fitness themed prizes. Stop in anytime during the planned four hours to participate, though signing up for a specific window (30 mins) will be appreciated. You can sign up at any of our fitness facilities. Fitness attire is required.
This will be a great way to mingle with your neighbors, demonstrate your fitness prowess, taste the Oroweat products, and impact a local charity.
Additional information will be available on the HOA website and bulletin boards in the coming weeks. See you on the 12th!
