At first glance, you might say to yourself—this doesn’t look like your regular bocce team. Where are the courts? Where are the bocce balls? Well, the EZ Rollers are not your typical bocce team! They firmly believe in the social aspect of bocce, and this picture shows them enjoying one of their happy hours. Team captain Diana Accomazzo says that “IF/WHEN we win a game, we earn a Happy Hour.” The EZ Rollers have explored over 25 restaurants to become experts in finding the best in fun, food, and drinks. I can’t think of a better reason to win a game, can you?

The EZ Rollers have been together for about 10 years and consist of 12 players participating just for fun and fellowship. They have every level of playing skill and everyone plays every week. While they may have their eye on the pallino, their goal is on Happy Hour. They have over 40 happy hours on the books, and they look forward to their happy get-togethers regardless of their standing in the league. So while some bocce teams play to be highly competitive, others play to have fun and find good excuses to continue the fun off the bocce courts.

Spring registration is now closed, but if you’re interested in becoming a bocce team or just joining an existing team, whether for fun or competition, watch the egroup and PebbleNews for when Fall 2023 kicks off in September.
