The PebbleCreek Bocce Association’s 2018 fall season will officially end on December 7, followed by the playoffs for the Day and Night League Championships. Winners will be announced in the January 2019 PebbleCreek Post.
After a holiday hiatus, bocce will be back on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, with what promises to be one of the largest number of participants since the sport began in PebbleCreek in the fall of 1999. The pre-season captain’s meeting will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom.
For newcomers and returning players seeking a refresher course, Bocce Statistician Carol Gwilt will be conducting a clinic on Monday, January 7, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Bocce Complex.
A highlight of the winter season will be the 20th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. A detailed history of how bocce began and how the sport has grown from under 100 to over 600 participants in its busiest winter season will appear in the January 2019 issue of the PebbleCreek Post. Stay tuned to hear how founding president Joe Naworski and other key members of the bocce organizational team, along with subsequent leaders, have worked tirelessly to grow the Bocce Association from its humble roots at Sunrise Park to the new state of the art Bocce Complex at Eagle’s Nest.
