The Pottery/Sculpture Club members gathered recently to learn from our reigning master of hyper-realism, Gordon Cooper. Gordon has been wowing club members for the past couple of years with his incredibly detailed and meticulously painted bird and fish sculptures.
By the end of this one-day class, all participants were able to complete a realistic looking quail.
The club wishes to thank Gordon for his many hours of preparation and for providing an enjoyable and creative experience, all at no cost to the students.
Examples of the bird sculptures made in this class can be viewed in the display cases outside the pottery room in the Creative Arts Center.
