Billiards Club Travel Teams Thrive in 2025

Dan Harris, Travel Team Coordinator

Following a modest start with just a handful of inter-community matches in 2024, the PebbleCreek Billiards Club (PCBC) travel teams enjoyed a breakout year in 2025, engaging in spirited competition against other communities across the West Valley and forging many new friendships in the process.

The teams participated in 33 contests throughout the year—an average of nearly three per month. Of these, 18 were hosted at home in PebbleCreek’s Salerno Billiards Room, while PCBC players traveled 15 times to opposing communities. Regular opponents included CantaMia (both men’s and women’s teams), Trilogy, and the Buckeye Legends. Additionally, PCBC members ventured once each to Sun City West and Sun City to compete in their respective tournaments.

Each contest featured 2 to 4 matches, with multiple games per match. Across 74 total matches, PCBC secured 35 wins against 39 for opponents—a razor-thin margin that extended to individual games: PCBC claimed 733, while opponents took 738. These tightly contested results underscore the high level of skill among West Valley players and the thrilling, competitive nature of the events.

Looking ahead to 2026, inter-community contests are set to continue, with hopes of welcoming more PCBC players and expanding the schedule. Excitingly, plans are already underway to add a new opponent: the Sundance community in Buckeye.
