Billiards Club Crushes the Buckeye Legends in an 8-Ball Showdown

Dan Harris, Travel Team Coordinator

On Dec. 10, 2025, the PebbleCreek Billiards Club (PCBC) hosted the Buckeye Legends (BL) for an 8-ball shootout in PebbleCreek’s Salerno Billiards Room. PCBC delivered a commanding performance, winning both matches and 34 games to BL’s 18.

The first match featured a one-on-one 8-ball series, with each of PCBC’s four players facing BL’s four players twice, totaling 32 games. The match started with fireworks: PCBC swept the first five games, only for BL to answer with five straight wins of their own. From that point on, however, PCBC took complete control and never relinquished the lead, closing out a 21–11 win.  PCBC’s Dan Harris won seven of his eight games, beating every opponent at least once and establishing himself as the day’s dominant force.

The second match shifted to a ranked head-to-head format, pairing players based on their number of wins in the first match, for five standard 8-ball games (20 games total). PCBC again raced ahead to an 8–2 lead and cruised to a 13–7 victory. PCBC’s Blair Dreyfus and Harold Erker led the charge, each winning four of their five games.

Despite the lopsided final tally, the afternoon was filled with great shot-making, friendly banter, and sportsmanship from both sides. Players are already circling the calendar for January’s rematch, when the Buckeye Legends will return to PebbleCreek determined to even the score.
