The first of five Home Hosted Dinners of the 2015-16 year was held on October 18 at the home of Roger and Marlene Hayes. With their co-hosts John and Carmel Flynn they took 40 members of the Irish American Club to a Hawaiian Luau—PebbleCreek style, that is. With everyone decked out in their Hawaiian finery—flowery leis, Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and flip-flop;, even while dodging unexpected showers, it was a fun evening for all. Island inspired food and decorations added to the ambiance of a tropical setting. Yes, it was even quite humid!

As has been the custom with the Irish American Club for over six years, all proceeds collected from the Benefit Dinners are donated to the Aqua Fria Food Bank.
