The most common comment from someone on the first day of a beginning pottery class is, “I hope you have patience because I have no artistic ability.” On leaving the class, most people say they can’t believe they made the beautiful things they did. Watching people discover talent they never knew they had is a joy for the instructors.
Everyone in the class makes three large and sophisticated pieces while learning all the tools and techniques necessary to make any handmade pottery project. You can see examples of the art made in the beginning pottery class in the display case outside the pottery room in the Creative Arts Center (CAC). Also, feel free to come into the pottery room to watch projects being made.
While in the CAC, be sure to visit the Expressions Gallery to see all the beautiful art for sale created by PebbleCreek residents.
