The PebbleCreek (PC) Ballroom Dance Club will have the annual casual October dance on Oct. 14 at the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. The Autumn Vibes evening will begin with a no host bar at 6 p.m.
You will be able to participate in a complimentary lesson by members Don and Tudy Wheeler at 6:30 p.m. Dance music for all will be provided by the duo Palalay Wilde from 7 to 10 p.m. They have been well-received at two dances from 2021 and 2022.
Your hosts will be myself and members Michael and Flori Parham. Tickets will be sold at the Eagle’s Nest (EN) kiosk from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 27 and 29, as well as Oct. 4, 6, and 11. The cost is $10/member and $15/guest and nonmember.
Our gala event of the year will be the Mistletoe Ball dinner/dance held at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom on Friday, Nov. 11. Joanne Benz, Patti Wegahaupt, and Maggie Maas will be hosting this first PC holiday season affair. Please put this evening on your calendar. Ticket sales will be on Oct. 18, 20, 25, and 27, as well as Nov. 3 at the EN kiosk from 10 a.m. to noon.
We are in need of a vice president, treasurer, and a secretary for 2023 for our club to continue. I hope that some of you who have not volunteered in the past will step up to take over these positions. You will have some guidance from 2022 officers plus a binder with the duties of each officer. I will need to know by Oct. 1 if you are interested. Ballots will be sent out in October, and new board of directors officers will be announced at the Nov. 11 Mistletoe Ball. Please consider either of these positions so that our club can officially exist in 2023. I will continue as the past president in an advisory capacity, and Jerry Briner will be our new president.
So please consider volunteering your services. I’ve enjoyed being president and seeing people have a great time on and off the dance floor.
