Stacey Miller, along with six fellow hikers, reached another milestone on a scenic hike in the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, just north of Cave Creek. This former ranch is now part of the Maricopa County Park System and is a prime example of high Sonoran Desert and incorporates both valley floor and spectacular rock outcroppings rising almost 4,000 feet into the mesas above. The park also includes hundreds of impressive saguaros, one of which provides the background for the photo documenting Stacey’s achievement of 3,000 miles while hiking with the club (for only a couple of years). Why not join the club and pursue your own milestones with a great group of people; visit the club website at pchikers.org for more information and photos.
