And what an Easter service  it was

Dave Modderman

Our PebbleCreek Community Church Easter service overflowed the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom on Easter Sunday with record attendance. Extra chairs were brought out numerous times for the nearly 300 people who attended. Our guess is that nearly half of the worshippers were Creekers who were visiting. Pastor Dennis Kizziar started the service by expressing an expectation that all would be back the following Sunday! Ahh—the magic of Easter!

The centerpiece of the service was the inspirational Easter Cantata Christ Above All, presented by our 28-member choir so superbly led by Choir Director Donna Giocomo. The choir sings at every Sunday service.

Our beautiful, outdoor 6:00 a.m. Easter sunrise service on the Eagle’s Nest patio similarly experienced record attendance of nearly 100. The day before, many of our members and friends gathered in Sunrise Park for the annual Easter walk around Robson Circle.

What the attendance tells us is that our PebbleCreek Community Church continues to meet its goal of providing services for all within our wonderful community who do not have a local church but wish to gather in Christ’s name. Every Sunday we welcome visiting children, grandchildren, periodic attenders and first-time visitors who wish to join with our members, associate member snowbirds who maintain other church memberships and regular attenders. Come join us any time!

All are welcome when we turn our Eagle’s Nest Ballroom into a community church chapel on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. For questions or matters with which we might assist, check out our website at www.pebblecreekchurch.org or call Pastor Dennis Kizziar at 623-455-3435.
