The PebbleCreek Men’s Nine Hole Golf Association played stage 2 of their summer series, with a Cool Off Hawaiian Style Tournament. The tournament featured a shamble format. First place winners of the tournament included Peter Herman, Louis Beaulieu, Bob Fiorita, and Fred Schmidt. Players wore their favorite Hawaiian shirts and leis, and won prizes ranging from golf balls to cash. Best dressed was awarded to Dennis Grace and Clifford Crooks. The match was celebrated with refreshments and awards at the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
Earlier in the month, the Niners held a Scramble “Step Aside” Tournament, which was won by James Mitchell, Gregory Ray, Mike Hurst, and Mickey Osterneck. They continued their Closest to the Pin and Long Putt prizes on non-tournament days.
The summer series rolls on with tournaments including stage 3—The Ryder Cup Challenge (August) and stage 4—We Survived the Summer (September). The Ryder Cup featured 3 holes of best ball, a 3-hole scramble, and 3 holes with alternate shots. The fun continues to include great attire, prizes, food, and beverages. Come join us at the course.
