It’s September and the bats, balls, and gloves have been put away as the 2022-23 Fall/Winter Season, as well as the Spring Season and the schoolyard Summer pickup games have been put to rest for the PebbleCreek Senior Softball Association (PCSSA). The attention now focuses on preparing the field for the upcoming season, which by the way will be the 29th season for PCSSA.
There is still a lot of work required to ensure that the field will be ready for opening day, which at this time is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21.
Currently 254 players have registered to play in the upcoming season. With this many registrants it looks like the PCSSA will expand to 23 teams. Not too shabby for a league that was established in 1995, and had only two teams!
The history of this league is quite remarkable. More on the history of this league will be detailed in the October PebbleCreek Post edition.
