Cinema Society NEW Member Signups Begin Oct. 3
Cinema Society 2022-2023 Season announced! On select Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Renaissance Theater, the Cinema Society is back for another season. New members can sign up for a Cinema Society subscription beginning Oct. 3 at 9 a.m., in the Activities Office. Membership is $140 per person; paid by credit/debit or member card. Film titles will be distributed upon signup. Season dates are as follows: Nov. 3, 2022; Dec. 1, 2022; Jan. 5, 2023; Feb. 9, 2023; March 9, 2023; April 13, 2023.
Bus Trip: SIX at ASU Gammage—Oct. 7; on sale Sept. 8
The Broadway smash hit “SIX” is coming to town and your team in Activities has secured seats in the lower level, center orchestra section at the ASU Gammage Auditorium. Join us for this exciting performance Friday evening, Oct. 7, 2022. The show begins promptly at 7:30 p.m. The show’s running time is 80 minutes and there is no intermission. Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an exuberant celebration of 21st century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over. The New York Times says SIX “Totally rules!” (Critic’s Pick) and The Washington Post hails SIX as “Exactly the kind of energizing, inspirational illumination this town aches for! The Broadway season got supercharged!” Tickets for the SIX Bus Trip go on sale in the Activities Office on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. There is a (2) ticket limit per person. Tickets are $92 each and include roundtrip transportation in a luxury motorcoach. The bus will depart from the area in front of the Armed Forces Plaza at 4:45 p.m. Due to potential traffic and the enhanced security screening at the auditorium, we are leaving plenty of time to ensure we are not late or rushed. Drinks and light snacks are offered in the ASU Gammage lobby, and typically there is show related merchandise as well. Mirage: Visions of Fleetwood Mac Tribute—Oct. 8; on sale Sept. 6
Your Activities team is thrilled to welcome back one of the more popular shows we have had in the last several years, the incredible Mirage: Visions of Fleetwood Mac. This fantastic band has earned top honors among tribute artists—endorsed by AXS TV as one of “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” and heartily praised by the legendary Stevie Nicks. Mirage recreates the classic lineup with a strong stage show and every detail to authenticity. Candle in the Wind, The Elton John Experience—Oct. 21, 2022; on sale Sept. 20
National touring tribute artist, Candle in the Wind, The Elton John Experience, performs the ultimate tribute to the music of Elton and his songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin. Halloween Dance—Oct. 30; on sale Sept. 27 (may be sold out at time of printing)
Dance the night away at this annual fright-fest event featuring the coolest ghoul in town, DJ Jim Allen. Prizes awarded to best male, female, and group costumes. On sale Sept. 27 at 8 a.m. at the Activities Office; $10. Costumes are optional. Cash bar. This spooky affair takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom.
Travel Expo–Nov. 1; Free to attend; RSVP required
The PebbleCreek Activities Office and Free Spirit Vacations bring you our first-ever Travel Expo. After Travel is back! Join us Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Palm Room. Our travel partner Free Spirit Vacations has arranged for several of their top partners to be on site to share information so you can learn about various travel destinations around Arizona and beyond. It is free to attend, but to ensure it is not too crowded, RSVPs are required. There will be refreshments and door prizes!
Chic Boutique is on a Saturday this year! Shop ‘til you drop Nov. 12; noon to 5 p.m.
Shop, shop, shop! Shoes, purses, jewelry…the ingredients for a great afternoon at PebbleCreek! The annual Chic Boutique event is back and this year is in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom, and is on a Saturday! Shop ‘til you drop on Saturday, Nov. 12, from noon to 5 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring (3) items of canned or boxed food in lieu of an admission price, and you also receive a ticket for a chance to win a door prize. Bring your friends and neighbors and enjoy shopping the day away for purses, cosmetics, scarves, clothing, jewelry, skin care, wigs, accessories, and much more!
Veteran’s Day Salute—Nov. 10; Time TBA
Every year we take time to give thanks and recognition to all of our military personnel who have given so much to secure our freedom. This special afternoon promises to create a spirit of patriotism and gratitude, a spirit that we can share with each other as we celebrate and appreciate all of the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Come and be counted as a thankful citizen of PebbleCreek, Arizona, and the great United States of America. Tickets are $5, cash only, for this special program and can be purchased at the Activities Office beginning Monday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m. The proceeds will be given to a charitable organization whose focus is on our veterans. Wear your red, white, and blue and come celebrate with us in the Renaissance Theater! A Celebration of Christmas Bus Trip—Dec. 10
PebbleCreek is excited to offer our residents transportation and tickets to one of America’s largest holiday musicals, “A Celebration of Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Experience the true season of Christmas like never before! This extraordinary Broadway-style performance features a live orchestra, state-of-the-art technology with incredible special effects, professional acrobatic silk artists, a beautiful Nativity, and so much more! The story culminates with a live Nativity, flying angels, and a 30-piece orchestra. This well-known and beloved annual event takes place at Dream City Church in north Phoenix. A very limited number of tickets will be available, plan to buy early! Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. in the Activities Office. Price: $50. Bus departs from the lot near the Armed Forces Plaza at 1:15 p.m. (please plan to be at the bus pick up area by 1 p.m.) For more information, call your friendly Activities Office at 535-9854. Project Presley: A Celebration of the music of Elvis Concert—Dec. 16
Chance Tinder and Elvis Presley … Chance is a multi-award winning Elvis Presley Tribute Artist with more than 25 years in the “Elvis Entertainer Business.” He has been a part of the Elvis Presley phenomenon since the late 1980s, when he was first discovered in Southern California by none other than Bill Medley of the musical super duo The Righteous Brothers. This fantastic show is not an impersonation, but a celebration of the music and legacy of Elvis Presley. New Year’s Eve Dance—Dec. 31
Don your best attire, prepare for some delicious food and great music, and get ready to ring in the new year at our annual year-end celebration. PebbleCreek’s New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance Party featuring The Flip Side band will be held on Dec. 31, 2022, in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. We are pleased to welcome these fabulous entertainers for this special New Year’s celebration! Don’t miss this great evening of fun, fine food, and farewells to 2022!
