Summer Dance: Dancing on the Beach—Aug. 1

DJ Thaddeus Rose is back this summer with our summer dance series and our August Dance is themed perfectly for the summer month of August with our Dancing on the Beach theme … wear your favorite beach-themed garb (no swimsuits, please) while Thaddeus spins our favorite dance tunes in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Even better—dance prices are just $10 per person for this special summer dance series—so no excuse not to come on out and have fun! Cash bar. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets on sale in the Activities Office.

Cinema Society of PebbleCreek: Two-Day Film Festival featuring Music Industry Legend, David Spero—Aug. 2-3

Rock and Roll Film Festival in the Renaissance Theater. Tickets on sale now in the Activities Office; $85 PebbleCreek Residents, HOA Member Charge or Credit Card Only. Starring legendary music historian, manager, rocker, and founder of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, David Spero. Moderated by Cinema Society of PebbleCreek Director Andy Friedenberg. David is a legend in the music industry and the films Andy has selected are not only a great mix of fantastic films, each one has a special connection to David, and each film’s soundtrack contains some of music’s most enduring and popular music of all time. This will be a super fun, super informative and super enjoyable two days! We hope you will join us for this truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime event! His book “A Life in the Wings—My Sixty Year Love Affair with Rock and Roll: A Memoir” is available at Amazon and other booksellers if you want to read it prior to the event. Copies will be available for purchase as well during the book signing.

10 a.m.—Screening of “Caddyshack” (featuring music by Kenny Loggins). Introduced and discussion by David Spero, Kenny Loggins former manager

12 p.m.—Lunch on your own

2 p.m.—Screening of “The Eagles.” Introduced and discussed by David Spero, Joe Walsh’s manager

4 p.m. —Book signing/Meet & Greet: David Spero’s “A Life in the Wings—My Sixty Year Love Affair with Rock and Roll: A Memoir.” Book Signing will be in the main lobby of the Renaissance Theater; 4 to 5 p.m.

7 p.m.—Screening of “Harold And Maude” (featuring music by Cat Stevens) Introduction and discussion by David Spero, Cat Stevens’ manager

Dinner is suggested at The Tavern at PebbleCreek across the courtyard from the renaissance Theater. Reservations in advance are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED and can be made on our Tavern Open Table Reservation System on the HOA website. You will need to fill in your party size, reservation time, etc. As a reminder, this is not the ’normal’ Open Table App you may be used to, as this is a private link just for PebbleCreek residents and our invited guests. 10 a.m.—Screening of “Echo in the Canyon” (starring many friends of David Spero). Introduced and discussed by David Spero, personal friend of Jackson Browne, Ringo Starr, Graham Nash, and others!

Special Event: Q&A Event with Terry Davies with Book Signing—Aug. 23

This very special event will be in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom ahead of the much-anticipated Piano Men: Generations shows on Aug. 23. The event will begin at 10 a.m., to include a Q&A followed by a book signing. This event must end no later than noon so that Terry can prepare for the afternoon concert. This will be a FREE event, but tickets will be required. Terry will sign his recently released memoir “My Life—Livin’ The F**king Dream.” We do hope Terry brings along his amazing wife Anne and his incredibly talented son Nick to join the Q&A.

Copies of Terry’s book will be available for purchase ahead of time in the Activities Office, date for this to begin will be announced. Books can be purchased online at shophammertime.com and can be purchased on the day of the event as well.

FREE tickets can be picked up at the Activities Office beginning Aug. 14 through Aug. 22 while supplies last.

Concert: Ultimate Chicago—A Tribute to Chicago—Sept. 5

Chicago is one of the longest-running, not to mention best-selling groups of all time! Their musical vision and influence was felt over multiple generations which is why Ultimate Chicago has assembled some of the finest musicians to re-create all of the excitement, energy and nostalgia that comes with a live performance of Chicago‘s iconic music.

From soaring guitar solos to punctuated full horn section features, this 90-minute show features upbeat hits such as “Saturday In The Park” and “Beginnings” as well as chart-topping ballads including “Hard Habit To Break” and “If You Leave Me Now.” It doesn’t matter whether you discovered the music of Chicago during their early days as the Chicago Transit Authority or fell in love with their endless parade of power ballads in the 1980s, Ultimate Chicago delivers a show spanning 30 years of rock and roll history sure to have you singing along.

Cinema Society: Current Members Renewal—Sept. 15–26

Cinema Society is back for the 2025–26 season. Renewing members can sign up beginning at 9 a.m. Sept. 15 through Sept. 26 in the Activities Office. The Activities Office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Membership is $150 per person; paid by Member Charge, preferred, or credit card. Film titles will be distributed upon sign-up.

Season dates are: 2025: Nov. 20 (Season Opener) and Dec. 4. 2026: Jan. 29, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, and March 19 (Season Finale).

New Members: Should space be available, new members can sign up beginning Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. in the Activities Office through Oct. 20.

The Cinema Society of PebbleCreek is your ticket to discovering carefully curated motion pictures offered by the top major and independent studios. Often they are small-release, documentary, arthouse, or foreign releases. Sometimes they are seen by our group before they are released to the public.

A typical Cinema Society program includes a cinema chat, formal introduction, screening of a feature film premiere, classic, documentary, and/or short subject, followed by a discussion. The morning events typically include a guest speaker; a critic or occasionally an actor, director, or studio representative involved with the film’s production. Speakers share their expertise with you, providing a forum to discuss various aspects of the movie.

Your membership includes private monthly screenings, transferable membership admission card with PebbleCreek lanyard (pass it on to others if unable to attend an event), socializing with fellow film lovers, informative discussions, monthly newsletter that previews upcoming film and any activities, hosted national and international film festival trips (for an additional fee) and invitations to other special events. All films screen at 10 a.m. sharp in the Renaissance Theater.

Special Event: Travel Expo—Oct. 6

The PebbleCreek Activities Office and Free Spirit Vacations bring you our third annual Travel Expo. Join us Monday, Oct. 6 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Our travel partner Free Spirit Vacations has arranged for several of their top partners to be on site to share information so you can learn about various travel destinations around Arizona and beyond. It is FREE to attend, but to ensure it is not too crowded, RSVPs are required. Call the Activities Office at 623-535-9854. Refreshments and door prizes! Reservations are Sept. 24–Oct. 3.

Concert: Street Loaf: A Tribute to Meat Loaf—Oct. 10

Street Loaf is the Ultimate Tribute to the Legacy of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman. More than just a concert, the show contains theatrical elements from Meat’s shows featuring songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Meat Loaf’s recording career, and hit songs by Jim Steinman. Steven Ryan has been performing the songs of Meat Loaf for almost two decades. He partnered with Sally Zito to put together a new band of world-class musicians for this exciting blend of music, theatre, and spectacle.

Dance the night away at this annual fright-fest event featuring the coolest ghoul in town DJ Jim Allen. On sale Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. at Activities; $15. Costumes are optional. Cash bar. This spooky affair takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom.
