Turn The Page: Bob Seger Tribute—June 16
Turn The Page is an incredible recreation of the Live Bob Seger Experience performed by The Sam Morrison Band. Every effort has been made to make sure that each song is performed exactly as you remember it and that it is delivered with all the passion and excitement you would expect in a Bob Seger show. We are pleased to welcome Turn The Page back to the Renaissance Theater. $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person. Tickets went on sale at 9 a.m. online and in the Activities Office on Tuesday, May 14. Should a 3 p.m. show be needed, it will go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 16. Bus Trip: “Hamilton” at ASU Gammage June 28—on sale April 23
A revolutionary story of passion, unstoppable ambition, and the dawn of a new nation. “Hamilton” is the epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation. Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, “Hamilton” has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. “Hamilton” features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors. Bus Trip: Diamondbacks vs. Oakland A’s (1:10 p.m. Game) (All-You-Can-Eat Seats)—June 29 Summer Game (no July 4 game this year)
Join us this summer as the D-backs take on the Oakland A’s for this 1:10 p.m. afternoon game! The outing includes roundtrip motor coach transportation and Diamond Level seats in All You Can Eat Section 222, rows 8-10. All-You-Can-Eat Seats Menu includes: hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, chips and Pepsi Fountain soda—until the middle of the 7th inning. Tickets go on sale June 7 in the Activities Office. Elvis Unplugged with Chance Tinder—July 12
Elvis Unplugged & Rockin’ is the idea of Elvis performing his greatest hits, unplugged, today! Everything from “That’s Alright Mama” to “Suspicious Minds,” and a few other surprises along the way too! The show features Chance Tinder & Project Presley, the multi award-winning Elvis Presley Tribute band from Scottsdale, Ariz., via the way of Las Vegas. The band is reminiscent of those fun times (in the early days) when everyone would just “sit in the round,” till all hours of the night, and jam on whatever instrument they had handy and on whatever song came to mind. Yet in this case, it’s all about Elvis! All the time! 90 minutes of that “pure Elvis sound,” unplugged and rockin’! $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person. Concert: December ’63—August 16
The music of Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons comes to life in this one-of-a-kind concert experience. December ’63 showcases all your favorite songs from Frankie Valli including the classics that have been thrilling audiences for decades. This recreation of a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons concert will have you reaching for the high notes as our cast and band take you on a musical journey with stops at every phase of the careers of Frankie and the boys! In 1962, the group released their first album, featuring the single “Sherry,” which was not only their first charted hit but also their first number-one song. The Four Seasons followed up “Sherry” with several million-selling hits, including “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” (their second #1 hit), “Walk Like A Man,” (their third #1), “Candy Girl,” and several others. From 1962 to early 1964, only The Beach Boys matched the Four Seasons in record sales in the U.S. Come out and enjoy a night of timeless classics! $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person.
