It is unlikely that the two powerhouse voices of the century would have ever shared the same stage … until now! Two great artists paying tribute to their characters, singing the most memorable music and songs ever written. They never worked together, exactly, except when they taped a duet in separate recording sessions, but it’s tantalizing to think what it would have been like to have Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra teamed up for a concert tour. A Celebration of Christmas Bus Trip—Dec. 9
PebbleCreek is excited to offer our residents transportation and tickets to one of America’s largest Holiday musicals, “A Celebration of Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. Experience the true season of Christmas like never before! This extraordinary Broadway-style performance features a live orchestra, state-of-the-art technology with incredible special effects, professional acrobatic silk artists, a beautiful Nativity, and so much more! Rockettes, popular dance numbers, and much more. The story culminates with a live Nativity, flying angels, and a 30-piece orchestra. This well-known and beloved annual event takes place at Dream City Church in north Phoenix. A very limited number of tickets will be available; plan to buy early! “Immediate Family” tracks the rise and collaborations of a group of legendary session musicians Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel, and Waddy Wachtel through the 1970s and onward, chronicling their illustrious partnerships and their formidable record of hit-making. Directed by Denny Tedesco, whose documentary “The Wrecking Crew” followed the first wave of studio musicians in the ’60s, the film reveals the machinery behind the booming era of the singer-songwriter, when the talents of these four musicians were in furious demand. The foundations of their enduring friendship, formed on the road and in studios, is recalled with dynamite clarity—reminisced with fondness through intimate interviews with the guys themselves, as well as the memories of some of rock’s most iconic voices including Carole King, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Keith Richards, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, Lyle Lovett, Phil Collins, and more. “Immediate Family” is a backstage tour spanning multiple eras of musical history.
The film will officially premiere here in the Renaissance Theater—and in fact we hold the distinction of being the first showing on the day for the one-night-only, Dec. 12, 2023, special nationwide event.

The extremely popular Secondhand Treasures sale is back for 2024! Residents only are invited to buy a vendor space beginning Wednesday, Jan. 3 in the Activities Office. Premier Concert: The Drifters, Feb. 25
This international touring show is a fantastic walk down memory lane featuring the Doo Wop and R&B sounds of this American singing group first founded as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter, formerly the lead tenor of Billy Ward and his Dominoes in 1953. They went on to have such hits as Money Honey, Honey Love, Adorable, There Goes My Baby, Save The Last Dance For Me, and Under The Boardwalk. Although there were a number of group members over the nearly 70 years since they were formed, only the group’s original members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
