Veterans Day Salute Nov. 10
Every year, we take time to give thanks and recognition to all of our military personnel who have given so much to secure our freedom. This year, we are pleased to welcome HOA board member, Jack Gregory, as our special guest speaker. Jack Gregory retired from the Air Force at the rank of colonel in October 2007. His last active duty assignment was as vice commander, Eleventh Air Force (Pacific Air Forces), Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. His other assignments include flying duties throughout the U.S. and Europe as a pilot and instructor pilot in the F-4 and F-16, and staff assignments in South Korea and at the Pentagon. He commanded at the squadron and group levels, was qualified as a joint specialty officer, and is a former vice commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center. We will also welcome some other very special guests, including retired Air Force Colonel Melissa Kallett as our master of ceremonies, the Luke Air Force Base Color Guard, and performers Kathy Mitchell, Carole Palmer, Nancy Davis, and Jeff Harrison. This special afternoon promises to create a spirit of patriotism and gratitude, a spirit that we can share with each other as we celebrate and appreciate all of the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Once again this year, members of the PebbleCreek Quilters will honor veterans with a special quilt presentation. Come and be counted as a thankful citizen of PebbleCreek and the great United States of America. Tickets are $5 (cash only) for this special program and can be purchased at the Activities Office. The proceeds will be given to a charitable organization whose focus is on our veterans. Wear your red, white, and blue, and come celebrate with us in the Renaissance Theater!
