Concert: Tennessee River: Tribute to Alabama—Jan. 8

Tennessee River is the first and only tribute band that has the vocal chops to do Alabama’s music justice, with their new hybrid of contemporary cross-over music, bringing a fusion of the rural and urban sounds of modern-day country and blues, with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, Tennessee River stays true to the essence of Alabama’s music, taking their chart-topping songs and adding their own fresh, modern and unique energy, bringing Alabama’s music alive again for a whole new generation of country music fans. $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person. Artist Series: The Alley Cats—Jan. 14

America’s Premier Doo-Wop Group! Formed at Fullerton College in 1987, The Alley Cats have made it to the forefront of a cappella music with their renditions of timeless Doo‐Wop classics and their zany improvisational comedy. Through the years, the Cats have performed with notable celebrities such as Jay Leno, Rascal Flatts, and The Beach Boys. Whether they are entertaining the President at The White House or “edutaining” students in their nationally recognized Arts Education program, The Alley Cats bring the same level of energy to every show. Concert: Strange Days; Tribute to the Doors—Jan. 15

Strange Days is a nationally touring Doors concert experience. Formed and based in Los Angeles, California, Strange Days is the most realistic and impressive Doors tribute act in North America—capturing the magic…the mystery…and madness of the iconic group in their prime! Secondhand Treasures—Jan. 24; Noon—4 p.m.

Sometimes things that some people no longer want, or need are real Treasures for others…so that is why your friendly Activities Office is bringing you our annual Secondhand Treasures event Jan. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. Past items included china, oriental rugs, crystal, silver, designer clothing, coats, handbags, scarves, jewelry, and shoes. Please join us at this “upscale sale” of secondhand treasures. See all you shoppers then, to buy some of these wonderful treasures—attendance is FREE! Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Interested in being a vendor? Vendor space is available to PebbleCreek Residents only. Artist Series: Salute to Glen Campbell Starring Jeff Dayton and Band—Jan. 28

Jeff Dayton, Glen Campbell’s former bandleader, guitarist, and right-hand man for 15 years, presents an intimate, upbeat performance of Glen’s hits, sharing first-person stories behind the songs, backstage antics, and adventures on the road with a Hall of Fame great. Jeff is joined by fellow Campbell band members, all top pro musicians, making this show the closest thing to hearing Glen as he was in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and 2000s. Bus Trip: Phoenix Suns vs. Toronto Raptors—Jan. 30

Join your PebbleCreek friends and neighbors and enjoy a fun evening watching the championship-contending Phoenix Suns take on the San Antonio Spurs Monday evening, Jan. 30, for a 7 p.m. game time! Last year the Suns were conference champions and contended for their chance in the Finals. This year they are in the top five in the conference, and on course for another great season! Artist Series: James Reams & The Barnstormers—Feb. 11

A Salute to Country and Bluegrass. James Reams comes from a traditional and authentic Kentucky mountain background of music. After years of cultivating his talent, he formed his group James Reams & the Barnstormers in 1993. His deep baritone vocals coupled with his unique rhythm guitar playing, along with the brilliant musicians in the band, combine to offer the best spirited country and bluegrass pickin’ west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance; featuring Rhythm Edition Band—Feb. 16

Celebrate all things love and friendship in the sweetest way for Valentine’s Day! Join us Thursday, Feb. 16 at our annual Dinner Dance featuring the sounds of the popular Rhythm Edition band in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Premier Concert: Lords of 52nd Street; Billy Joel’s Original Band—Feb. 18

They are Billy Joel’s original band and do an amazing tribute to his music. They sold more than 150 million records. They helped establish Billy Joel’s formidable sound. Artist Series: The Southwest Surfers—Feb. 25

The ultimate Beach Boys tribute and more! The Southwest Surfers, Arizona’s Premier Beach Boys Tribute Band, have been providing a fun and entertaining musical experience to sellout crowds since 2009. The group was formed with the express purpose of recreating the sound of the Beach Boys and takes pride in doing exactly that. The band provides their fans with more than just great music; it’s an interactive show that lights up smiles and has fans dancing in the aisles, singing to every song. The Karen Carpenter Story is a stunning tribute to the Carpenters who were the biggest selling group of the 1970s. More than just creators of beautifully crafted and hugely successful hit records, Karen and Richard’s melodic pop produced a record-breaking run of hits on the American Top 40 and Adult Contemporary charts. Their catalog includes “Close To You,” “Rainy Days And Mondays,” “Goodbye To Love,” and “Yesterday Once More”… just to name a few. Parking Lot Sale—March 4

The annual Parking Lot Sale is back this spring and is scheduled for Saturday, March 4. The sale will take place in the parking lot in front of the Creative Arts Building on the Tuscany Falls side. The parking lot will be open to resident vendors at 6 a.m. for setup. All cars must be out of the parking lot area by 7 a.m. The sale will open at 7 a.m. for residents and 8 a.m. to the public. The sale will close at 11 a.m. You must provide your own tables and chairs for your space. We only provide the space. Any remaining spaces after the initial on-sale, will be sold in the Activities Office. One space per household. All spaces for residents are $25 each and $35 per commercial product. Spaces will be sold in numerical order. No refunds. All residents are responsible for total clean-up of their space including trash which must be taken to the trash can. Please no motorized vehicles or firearms of ANY kind. Spaces on Sale Feb. 1 at 8 a.m. in Room 100 in the Activities Center.

Artist Series: Kevin Johnson Ventriloquist—March 4

Master Ventriloquist Kevin Johnson, along with his two closest friends Clyde and Matilda, will captivate any audience! His extraordinary talent, perfected after performing almost 9,000 shows in a nine-year run at San Diego’s LEGOLAND Theme Park in California, is undeniable. Winning the prestigious award “Best Male Performer” in 2004 and 2006 where the competition included other attractions from over 90 countries, his show is incredible. Seen by millions in 2006 on the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent” also led to his lifelong dream of appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2007. Artist Series: All McCartney (Paul McCartney Tribute)—March 25

The musical legacy of Sir Paul McCartney from Beatles, Wings, and his solo career. A musical show to honor one of the most successful performing and songwriting legends of all time. He has one of the most recognizable faces in the world and founded two of the most incredible bands in the modern music era, The Beatles and Wings. His songs have crossed over cultural boundaries throughout the world. He’s an icon of the 1960s who was pivotal in changing the way we dress, talk, and even cut our hair. Some of the songs you’ll experience include iconic Beatles tunes like “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Get Back,” “Blackbird,” “Penny Lane,” “Hello, Goodbye,” “Back In The USSR,” “Hey Jude,” and “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” plus Wings classics like “Live And Let Die,” “Maybe I’m Amazed,” “Band On The Run,” and “My Love,” just to name a few.

Concert: Committed; Incredible A Capella Vocal Group—March 26

The group began in 2003 at Forest Lake Academy and solidified their sound while at school at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala. Committed has grown to be a very sought after a cappella group for many events around the United States, and also overseas. The group had the amazing opportunity to be featured on the second season of NBC’s hit singing competition, “The Sing Off,” and emerged as the season two champions. It has been their strong faith, hard work, and creativity that has gotten them to the point of being called one of the nation’s top ten a cappella groups.
