So This Is Christmas Concert; New Cast and Show!—Dec. 9

Christmas is the most joyful time of the year and nothing celebrates the holiday as big and as bold as TAD Management’s So This Is Christmas! We have Christmas songs, Christmas decorations, and a stage full of incredible. Now that’s what the magic of Christmas is all about! Celebrate your holiday season with the best seasonal show around and enjoy a very merry Christmas. $30 per person (limit 4), tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. online and in the Activities Office on Nov. 8.

A Celebration of Christmas Bus Trip—Dec. 10

PebbleCreek is excited to offer our residents transportation and tickets to one of America’s largest holiday musicals, “A Celebration of Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Experience the true season of Christmas like never before! This extraordinary Broadway-style performance features a live orchestra, state-of-the-art technology with incredible special effects, professional acrobatic silk artists, a beautiful Nativity, and so much more! The story culminates with a live Nativity, flying angels, and a 30-piece orchestra. This well-known and beloved annual event takes place at Dream City Church in north Phoenix. At the time of publication submission, this event had not yet gone on sale, so details about a second show, etc. are not possible to print. Contact Activities for availability. Price: $50. Bus departs from the lot near the Armed Forces Plaza at 1:15 p.m. (please plan to be at the bus pick up area by 1 p.m.) For more information, call your friendly Activities Office at 623-535-9854. Project Presley: A Celebration of the music of Elvis Concert—Dec. 16

Chance Tinder and Elvis Presley … Chance is a multi-award winning Elvis Presley Tribute Artist with more than 25 years in the “Elvis Entertainer Business.” He has been a part of the Elvis Presley phenomenon since the late 1980s, when he was first discovered in Southern California by none other than Bill Medley of the musical super duo The Righteous Brothers. This fantastic show is not an impersonation, but a celebration of the music and legacy of Elvis Presley. What better way to end the year than with Elvis! $30 per person (limit 4). At time of publication submission, tickets were going on sale at 9 a.m. online and in the Activities Office on Nov. 15. Likely a 3 p.m. show will be offered. New Year’s Eve Dance—Dec. 31

Don your best attire, prepare for some delicious food and great music, and get ready to ring in the new year at our annual year-end celebration. PebbleCreek’s New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance Party featuring The Flip Side band will be held on Dec. 31, 2022, in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. We are pleased to welcome these fabulous entertainers for this special New Year’s celebration! Don’t miss this great evening of fun, fine food, and farewells to 2022! Tickets go on sale Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. in the Activities Office. $80 per person; tables of 10 can be purchased. Debit/credit or member charge only. Menu coming soon! We do expect to start the evening with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. Tickets are sold out for this event.

Cinema Society—Jan. 5

The Cinema Society of PebbleCreek is your ticket to discovering carefully curated motion pictures offered by the top major and independent studios. Often they are small-release, documentary, arthouse, or foreign releases. Sometimes, seen by our group before they are released to the public. As was the case with our season-opener this November, “The Immediate Family.” In our ninth season, Cinema Society of PebbleCreek is a SOLD OUT Event for this season. A typical Cinema Society program includes a cinema chat, formal introduction, screening of a feature film premiere, classic, documentary and/or short subject, followed by a discussion. The morning events typically include a guest speaker; a critic or occasionally an actor, director, or studio representative involved with the film’s production. Speakers share their expertise with you, providing a forum to discuss various aspects of the movie. Your membership includes private monthly screenings, transferable membership admission card with PebbleCreek lanyard (pass it on to others if unable to attend an event), socializing with fellow film lovers, informative discussions, monthly newsletter that previews upcoming film and any activities, hosted national and international film festival trips (for an additional fee) and invitations to other special events. All films screen at 10 a.m. sharp in the Renaissance Theater.

Concert: Tennessee River: Tribute to Alabama—Jan. 8

Tennessee River is the first and only tribute band that has the vocal chops to do Alabama’s music justice, with their new hybrid of contemporary cross-over music, bringing a fusion of the rural and urban sounds of modern-day country and blues, with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, Tennessee River stays true to the essence of Alabama’s music, taking their chart-topping songs and adding their own fresh, modern and unique energy, bringing Alabama’s music alive again for a whole new generation of country music fans. $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. online and in the Activities Office on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022. Should a 3 p.m. show be needed, it will go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022. Artist Series: The Alley Cats—Jan. 14

America’s Premier Doo-Wop Group! Formed at Fullerton College in 1987, The Alley Cats have made it to the forefront of a cappella music with their renditions of timeless Doo‐Wop classics and their zany improvisational comedy. Through the years, the Cats have performed with notable celebrities such as Jay Leno, Rascal Flatts, and The Beach Boys. Whether they are entertaining the President at The White House or “edutaining” students in their nationally recognized Arts Education program, The Alley Cats bring the same level of energy to every show. Concert: Strange Days; Tribute to the Doors—Jan. 15

Strange Days is a nationally touring Doors concert experience. Formed and based in Los Angeles, California, Strange Days is the most realistic and impressive Doors tribute act in North America—capturing the magic…the mystery…and madness of the iconic group in their prime! In association with James Elliott Entertainment. $35 per person (limit of 4) tickets per person. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. online and in the Activities Office on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022. Secondhand Treasures—Jan. 24; Noon4 p.m.

Sometimes things that some people no longer want, or need are real Treasures for others…so that is why your friendly Activities Office is bringing you our annual Secondhand Treasures event Jan. 24 from noon to 4 p.m. Past items included china, oriental rugs, crystal, silver, designer clothing, coats, handbags, scarves, jewelry, and shoes. Please join us at this “upscale sale” of secondhand treasures. See all you shoppers then, to buy some of these wonderful treasures, attendance is FREE! Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Interested in being a vendor? Please note that spaces go on sale Dec. 7 in the Activities Office. Vendor space is available to PebbleCreek Residents only.  Vendor Space includes: One 6-foot table and one chair. $25 per space; Please bring your own tablecloth and decorations. Artist Series: Salute to Glen Campbell Starring Jeff Dayton and Band—Jan. 28

Jeff Dayton, Glen Campbell’s former bandleader, guitarist, and right-hand man for 15 years, presents an intimate, upbeat performance of Glen’s hits, sharing first-person stories behind the songs, backstage antics, and adventures on the road with a Hall of Fame great. Jeff is joined by fellow Campbell band members, all top pro musicians, making this show the closest thing to hearing Glen as he was in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and 2000s. Reminisce with songs such as “Wichita Lineman,” “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Gentle on My Mind,” and “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” as well as many others. Learn more at www.jeffdaytonmusic.com. Bus Trip: Phoenix Suns vs. Toronto Raptors—Jan 30.

Join your PebbleCreek friends and neighbors and enjoy a fun evening watching the championship-contending Phoenix Suns take on the San Antonio Spurs Monday evening, Jan. 30, for a 7 p.m. game time! Last year the Suns were conference champions and contended for their chance in the Finals. This year they are in the top five in the conference, and on course for another great season! Trip includes: Roundtrip motor coach transportation, a premium lower level seat in sections 105 and 108.
