An ice cream social was held on Aug. 16 at the home of PebbleCreek resident Kathy Nemeth to celebrate summer birthdays of six girlfriends. Each participant created a sundae to their liking using three flavors of ice cream and toppings, including nuts, fresh sliced peaches, shredded coconut, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, M&M’S, whipped cream, and more. Nancy Lind, using her grandmother’s recipe for Soup to Nuts cake (which includes tomato soup and chopped walnuts) with cream cheese icing, made the birthday cake.
