A Tisket, A Tasket, You’re Gonna Love These Baskets

Backyard Barbeque Basket with original art by Hilary Fiscus

Susan Skolnik

One of the most exciting parts of the PebbleCreek Art Club Fall Show and Sale is the chance to win one of five gorgeous gift baskets created by members of the club. Each basket is based on a theme and is packed with goodies. The basket includes an original piece of art by the artist who created the basket, making the total value about $300. Tickets will go on sale on Oct. 10 and can be purchased online at pcartclubshows.org or at the Fall Art Show and Sale. The price is $10 for 16 tickets or $20 for 40 tickets.

Pictured is the Backyard Barbeque Basket by watercolorist Hilary Fiscus. It includes a $50 gift certificate from Off the Hook, a pizza stone set, two grill and bake mats, a stainless steel barbeque tool set, placemats and napkins, tea towels, a timer, silicone gloves, a set of six stainless steel steak knives, black peppercorn and dark pink Himalayan salt grinders, a full-length barbeque apron, meat thermometer, ginger lime marinade, and a bag of white cheddar kettle cooked popcorn to snack on while waiting for the grill to heat up. All these items are packed into a wicker hamper.

This prize basket includes an original watercolor of a barbequed burger with fries—it would look perfect hanging in your kitchen or breakfast nook.

Here is what other artists have to say about their baskets:

Greenman Party Basket. Greet your guests with a cheerful original “greenman” plaque and get the party going with a game of stacking tower. This basket is designed to please all age groups. It includes: large wooden serving tray with handles, colorful placemats, coordinating floral napkins, Tommy Bahama napkin rings, designer flatware for four, large serving bowl and four individual bowls that are perfect for popcorn, gourmet popcorn, Italian cheese knife set and cutting board, six stemless wine glasses for indoor or outdoor use, stacking tower game, wooden lantern style candle holder with candle.

The artwork, custom made by Thula Edwards, is a fiberclay “greenman” plaque. It is suitable for indoors or may be hung outdoors in a protected area.

Who Loves Fondue? Basket. Gather your friends and family together for a fun night sharing fondue! All contents are enclosed in a stainless steel party tub that can be used over and over, and includes ingredients for a memorable evening together!

Look into the party tub and you will find a stainless steel electric fondue pot with temperature control and color coded fondue forks. Look closer and you will find a bottle of bubbly rosé, 6 champagne glasses, melting pot cookbook, fondue cheese, chocolate turtle fondue recipe along with ingredients and dipping sauces, and color coordinated dipping bowls, napkins, and tablecloth. For dessert, a delicious bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

An original contemporary alcohol ink painting by Sylvia Armstrong tops off this wonderful tub!
