Mary O’Neill, President, The Pet Companions Club
The Pet Companions Club was contacted by a resident in August of 2025 about rehoming her cats Romeo and Juliet, due to medical issues. Juliet is a beautiful long-haired gray tortie, and Romeo is a stunning long-haired orange tabby. Both cats are well behaved, friendly, and young (only 2 years old). They had just recently moved here from Kentucky with their mom. Their mom did such a good job training them to never scratch the furniture, and they don’t.
Thankfully both cats were healthy, spayed and neutered, and we didn’t need to provide any medical care for them. This is rare, and boy, are we ever thankful when it happens!
Juliet was adopted on Jan. 13, 2026, by a resident and never went into foster care. Romeo was kept by his owner longer, and then passed through two short-term foster homes before we were finally able to place him into his forever home with residents on March 23. Both are PebbleCreek cats. Both cats are doing well in their separate homes.
Romeo and Juliet represent why our club was initially founded: to rescue and re-home pets when their owners can no longer care for them, or their owners have passed away and left their animals behind. We are committed to finding new loving, forever homes for these pets. Some are quick to place, and some take a little longer.
Don’t forget that donations to our club to support our rescue efforts are tax-deductible! You can Zelle us at pcpetcompanions@gmail.com, or send us a check by mail to The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek, PO Box 6106, Goodyear, AZ, 85338-0619.
