The cooler weather is coming now and snowbirds are returning to PebbleCreek! The activities that we are offering in October are:
Vaccine Clinic will be held on Oct. 13, 14, 20, and 21. It will be held in the Eagle’s Nest Activity Center, Room 100. Safeway/Albertsons will be offering the Flu, Covid, Pneumonia, RSV, Shingles, Tetanus, and Hepatitis B vaccines. A “10% off groceries” coupon will be given with every immunization! Thank You, Blood Drive Donors!
We would like to thank our PebbleCreek residents who graciously donate blood in our August Blood Drive. There were many walk-ins that we were grateful to see! Donating blood saves over 100 lives, just by our PebbleCreek donations! Thank you again for all who participated in the August Blood Drive and any past and future Blood Drives. This helps so many people.
30th Year Anniversary
As a reminder to PebbleCreek residents, Kare Bears is about “neighbors helping neighbors.” Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Kare Bears brings together PebbleCreek resident volunteers to help neighbors in need with rides to medical appointments, loans of home medical equipment, and more. Kare Bears also promotes wellness across the broader PebbleCreek community through events and screenings. Learn more at karebears.org.
Play Mah Jongg and Support Kare Bears
National Mah Jongg players, here’s a win-win: When you order your 2027 National Mah Jongg League card through Kare Bears, you get the card you need to play your favorite game—and Kare Bears receives a donation, as they did last year!
The National Mah Jongg League, who makes the cards, have not yet finalized it. As soon as the details are available, including the order deadline, we will communicate via our community communications venues.
We are especially grateful to Dottie Palamera, a PebbleCreek resident who started and successfully managed this program last year. Thanks to her efforts, Mah Jongg players discovered an easy way to support Kare Bears while doing something they were already going to do anyway, ordering Mah Jongg cards.
