PC Singles Enjoy an Afternoon of Laughter and “Grumpy Old Men”

On Aug. 8, 16 members of PebbleCreek (PC) Singles gathered at the Arizona Broadway Theatre for an afternoon that blended good food, great company, and a whole lot of laughter. The group settled in to enjoy Grumpy Old Men, a musical stage adaptation of the beloved 1993 film starring Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret.

The musical brings Max and John—two lifelong neighbors and even longer rivals—to life with catchy songs, sharp humor, and unexpected heart. Their decades long feud reignited the moment the charming and spirited Ariel moved in across the street. The two grumps find themselves in a hilarious competition for her affection, complete with snowball fights, snappy one liners, and moments of tenderness that sneak up on you.

The show celebrates the charm of small town life and the joy of rediscovering love at any age. From the over the top antics of Grandpa to the meddling townsfolk who never miss a chance to stir the pot. Grumpy Old Men reminds us that even the frostiest friendships can thaw and that it’s never too late to fall in love again.

After the final curtain call, PC Singles joined the cast for photos, conversations, and plenty more laughter as members shared their favorite moments from the show.
