The Arizona summer was busy—and undeniably HOT—but perhaps not quite as hot as the upcoming PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) golf season promises to be!
The new 2026–27 PCLGA Board has been meeting via Zoom since June, working behind the scenes to prepare for another exciting year of golf, competition, friendship, and fun. Although virtual meetings have kept us connected throughout the summer, we are looking forward to seeing everyone in person when our new season officially kicks off in November.
Leading the PCLGA this season are: Amber Rivera, President; Mikki Leach, Vice President; Betty Wring, Secretary; Joan Dove, Treasurer; Jayne Dinan, Tournament Director; Mary Pinski, Tuesday Play Chair; Julie Webb, Handicap Chair; Bergitta Reese, Parliamentarian and Rules Chair; Vicki Norrie, Golf Genius Chair; and Sharon Johnson, Technology Advisor.
Together, the Board is preparing a season filled with opportunities for members to reconnect, compete and create new memories. Whether it is Tuesday Play, team competitions, or special events, November always brings a special energy as friends return to the course, share plenty of laughs and settle back into the traditions that make the PCLGA such a wonderful organization.
Our team competitions kick off in November, too. The Cholla match play season tees off on Nov. 14. Chanca Morrell will serve as captain of the Eagle’s Nest Cholla Team, assisted by co-captain Barb Rossi. Kathy Hubert-Wyss will lead the Tuscany Falls Cholla Team, with Ellen Enright serving as co-captain.
The Roadrunner Stroke Play season begins on Nov. 21, with Susan Gavin and Margaret Dlouhy serving as team captains.
These competitions provide our players with opportunities to represent PebbleCreek, test their games and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from playing as part of a team. We look forward to cheering on all three teams throughout the season!
Remember to watch the PCLGA website for tournament and Tuesday Play schedules, announcements and sign-up information. Get your clubs ready, reconnect with your golf friends and prepare for a season that promises to be every bit as hot as the Arizona summer—in all the best ways!
