To say Mel Martin loves cars would be the understatement of the year. The Corvette Club visited the Martin Auto Museum (4320 W. Thunderbird Rd.), and we were certainly wowed by the awesome collection of vehicles. The museum occupies a 170,000–square–foot building, part of which was a Safeway store. About 8 years ago, Mel purchased this facility, renovated it, and opened his museum. Currently Mel has 180 cars on display with many more in storage facilities around town.
Our members were delighted by the awesome collection of both new and vintage vehicles. Everything from Rolls-Royce to Mini may be found.
With all that touring, we built up quite an appetite. We stopped at Pullano’s Pizza for some delicious Italian food.
If you live in PebbleCreek and own a Corvette, you are eligible to join our club. For additional information, contact Membership Director Terry Worwa at 224-715-7126.
