Rescue of the Month: Tyrone Is So Thankful!

Mary O’Neill, President, The Pet Companions Club

Tyrone was rescued on Feb. 2. He had been dumped with a can of food under a bench near the intersection of Cotton Lane and Canyon Trails Boulevard outside of an apartment complex. This is adjacent to highway 303, and he must have been terrified by the traffic. Mary went out to rescue him after seeing the notice on the Ring Neighbors app about him, despite having pneumonia at the time (bad idea). After two trips of searching and lots of walking (and breathing hard), he was found. He was such a sweet boy, and so thankful to be rescued. He meowed as soon as he realized someone had come to help him. He stayed still and calm as he was picked up.

Tyrone was named after film star Tyrone Power, as he is such a handsome boy! He looks very fancy in his tuxedo coat.

We got him vaccinated and neutered, and he was fostered by Mary.

Tyrone was adopted as a PebbleCreek cat by residents on Feb. 10. We hear that he is still such a sweet boy, and devastatingly handsome! We can’t wait to see him all grown up.

Don’t forget that donations to our club to support our rescue efforts are tax-deductible! You can Zelle us at pcpetcompanions@gmail.com, or send us a check by mail to The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek, PO Box 6106, Goodyear, AZ, 85338-0619.
