Vintage Vegas Delivers Glitter, Glam, and a Winning Hand

The bright lights of Vintage Vegas shimmered across PebbleCreek as the PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) hosted its annual Member-Member Tournament on Feb. 28 and March 3. The ladies didn’t just come to play golf; they came ready to deal a little Vegas flair onto the fairways.

From the moment players arrived, the theme was impossible to miss. Glitter, glam, and dice-themed attire popped up around the course as participants embraced the spirit of old-school Las Vegas. Vintage outfits ranged from dealer-inspired chic to full-on casino sparkle, turning the tournament into the Vegas strip with golf clubs.

Competition was just as lively as the outfits. Teams had double the opportunity to win, with payouts awarded in both formats. Tuscany Falls East hosted the Shamble, while Tuscany Falls West tested players in the Stableford format. Both days delivered a mix of challenge and fun, proving that the courses were just as spirited as the theme.

A little Vegas luck was sprinkled throughout the tournament as well. Some fortunate players received a mulligan opportunity by drawing a face card at registration, and a lucky roll of the dice on hole 17 of the East course offered the chance to move up to the red tees. Over on the West course, team one-putts earned card draws to build a poker hand, with lucky players walking away with extra goodie bags.

The West course also delivered a moment worthy of the Vegas spotlight. Mary Pat Burson scored a hole-in-one on hole number 5—talk about a way to stack up Stableford points for the team! When the ball drops in the cup in one swing, that’s the golf version of hitting the jackpot.

Of course, no themed event would be complete without recognizing the fashion standouts. Best Themed Outfit honors went to Amber Rivera and Barb McKinney, who fully embraced the Vintage Vegas vibe by sporting dazzling vintage showgirl tops and headdresses both days.

A special thank you goes to our tournament co-chairs, Arlene Bruce, Rochelle Dammel, and Colleen Brisben, for dealing out such a creative and well-organized event. Their planning, attention to detail, and Vegas-inspired touches made the tournament both seamless and memorable for everyone who participated.
