Forty singles traveled to Goodyear Ballpark to see the March 2 pre-season Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds baseball game. Our members were seated at tables of four in the Right Field Pavilion in the upper deck area. We were in the shade (until the sun decided to move) with a great view of the entire ballpark. Many ordered food and beverages from their tables using their cell phones; the delivery service was fantastic. Our group was recognized and welcomed to the ballpark on the big outfield screen. The Cubs scored 4 runs in the top of the first inning, unfortunately the Reds scored 6 home runs and continued scoring with the outcome Reds 17 Cubs 9. Our members who were Cincinnati Reds fans were extremely elated, the Cubs fans were highly disappointed. All in all, at the end of the game the members didn’t strike out on the FUN we had at the ballpark.
