Sharp Shooting Wins…Again?!

Nick Sharp, Matthew Thomann, and John Slaughter

Arty Bartlett

You may be wondering why you keep seeing one of these guys’ mug in so many articles but, well, he just keeps winning!

Every first and third Friday the PebbleCreek Gun Club heads out to the Joe Foss Shooting Facility in Buckeye to practice our amazing pistol and rifle shooting skills on paper targets. Always getting ready for the next competition, which happens to be a wicked, Timed/Accuracy Bowling Pin Competition, but I digress…

After honing our target skills and before packing up, we have a little Poker Fun with a Poker Target. It costs $3 each to ante up. This little contest is a lot of fun to do and we look forward to it every month.

Please notethat random deck of cards you see in the photo are placed on the target stand facing the board. Which means you cannot see the card faces when shootingonly the blank backside! And to make it even more random, each target has a different random deck of cards than the other targets.

Just like actual poker it truly is the ‘luck of the draw.’ (A little gun-pun humor!)

So, we present to you our two new winners:

Second place winner Matthew Thomann

Third place winner John Slaughter

And the winning-est guy in our club right now with yet another first place in Poker, Nick Sharp.

Congratulations all!
