Members of the Singles Club celebrated their monthly happy hour at Saddle Mountain Brewing Company in Goodyear, which was voted The West Valley’s Best Local Brewery and Taproom. It’s a craft brewery and restaurant that has been a significant part of the local community since its founding in 2011. The brewery’s name is inspired by a mountain in Tonopah, Ariz., where the founders Jacob and Laura Hansen were raised. On Wednesday and Thursday nights the Brewing Company entertains their guests with numerous musicians from around the Valley.
Our Singles Club members were given a reserved front table for dining and to enjoy the phenomenal Jim Pond, acoustic guitarist and vocalist. Pond performed a variety of cover songs, some of which the entire restaurant’s patrons participated. Because Ponds does private parties, weddings, and other happy hours around the Valley, it may be difficult to find him; however, you may be fortunate enough to enjoy his music at one of Ellie Daly’s patio parties.
Music, a great menu, and award–winning brews recognized by the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup makes for a winning combination. Because of this the Singles Happy Hour event extended way later than usual.
